ROAD TRIP - NEW YEARS DAY HIKE

We started off the new year - 2014 - the year of the road trip extraordinaire - with a hike in Saguaro National Park West. Did a whole bunch of trails with the goal being to get to this windmill, the site of an old homestead.

We usually see no one on our loops in this section of the park but i think because of the holiday, there were several groups including some horse back riders.

It was in the high 60's and absolutely energizing to be out and about in summer gear in Jan. I am blessed.
