ANNIVERSARY NARROWS - LAKE MEAD - NEVADA

bill is standing at the small entrance to the narrows which are about 500 yards long. The narrows gets its name from an old borax mine which was called Anniversary Mine.
inside the twisty narrows.
We met a lovely couple from Texas who took our picture. It is possible to drive right to the entrance of the narrows but we parked about a 1/4 mile in  from the trailhead and just walked the high clearance/4WD road for a 3 mile distance.
this was the other side of the narrows; the wash widens a lot. we were searching for a lunch spot.
shafts of late afternoon sun as we retraced our steps. this was truly a fantastic magical hike.
along the road out; can you see the 2 cars? lover's quarrel perhaps?
